What else do I do? Here’s a glimpse into my passion projects.

Amazing Stories

On my blog, you’ll find insights, stories, and trends on storytelling, creativity, marketing, and PR.

Enjoy the read!

Storytelling Forum

Plot is an interdisciplinary storytelling forum — created, curated, and led by the team behind the series festival SERIENCAMP (seriencamp.tv), storytelling expert Petra Sammer, and the branding and design studio Abc&D (abc-and-d.com).

Travel Guides

#ThereMustBeSomething is a travel project with a twist. Together with Claudia Siebert, I set out in search of stories hidden in cities you might not consider at first glance — places like Kassel, Karlsruhe, Gelsenkirchen, Worms, Magdeburg, or Hildesheim.

Our next stop: Tübingen — hopefully in the fall of 2025.

Creative Statements

In 2014 and 2016, I had the honor of serving as a juror at the Cannes Lions — the most prestigious creative awards in the communications industry.

The Creative Statement Project offers a unique perspective on the festival, told through the lens of a Lion my agency and team proudly won. A true privilege — and an unforgettable experience.

Creative Safari

Creative Safari means stepping out of the urban jungle and into the wilds of creativity — to explore, discover, and be surprised.

It’s about connecting with creative minds, exchanging ideas, inspiring one another — and encountering unique places, companies, or artists along the way.

We look forward to bringing these journeys back in 2025/26.

Change Perspectives

This photo project is a playful exploration of perspective — of proximity and distance, both in the image and in the choice of subject.

At the heart of it all: a small weather house that traveled far and wide in 2013 — from New York to Berlin, from Kassel to Texas. The journey concluded on December 31st, 2013, with a spectacular fireworks display in the Tyrolean Alps.

Munich City Walk

Munich is made up of 42 districts — and in 2015, I visited them all.

For an entire year, I explored every corner of what I consider the most beautiful city in the world. The journey is captured in this eBook: Münchner Zettelwirtschaft.

Words on Hand

Handwriting is something truly special. Yet in a world flooded with machine-generated text, our appreciation for the handwritten word is slowly fading.

"Words on Hand" is a project for lovers of handwriting — and even more so for admirers of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who chose his words with extraordinary care.

Sketch Notes

I enjoy sketching along during lectures and events. While my SketchNotes may not be perfect, you're still very welcome to browse through them — on Pinterest.

Movie Marathon

I’m a film philologist — trained in the art of analyzing cinema. But if you think I’ve seen a lot of films, you should have seen me in 2012.

That year, I set myself the ambitious goal of watching every single Oscar-winning film. A true marathon: 86 films, totaling roughly 10,320 minutes of screen time.

The criteria of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have long been debated — especially given that the Oscars were originally conceived as a way to promote American cinema.

A PR campaign, yes — but one still well worth watching.

100 Thought Leaders

Who are the world’s most influential thinkers?

Each year, the Swiss Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute publishes its list of the Top 100 Thought Leaders. In 2014, I set out to explore this list in depth — systematically getting to know each individual featured.

It became a project that offered fresh perspectives and surprising insights — and left a lasting impression.

Truth about Sabbaticals

2015 was an extraordinary year. I took a full 365 days away from my role as Chief Creative Officer at Ketchum — an entire year on sabbatical.

But as it turns out, sabbaticals rarely unfold the way you imagine…
